Oyo APC Condemns Abduction of Ex-Minister's Family

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) condemned the abduction of Busayo Adelabu, the sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, which occurred on Wednesday morning in the Elewura Challeng area of Ibadan. Reports indicate that unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle around 7:30 AM, leading to their abduction.

The APC expressed concern over this incident, highlighting the growing insecurity in the state, which has already unsettled residents due to previous kidnappings, including schoolchildren and staff from the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN). The party called on Governor Seyi Makinde to intensify collaboration with relevant security agencies to curb the rising cases of kidnapping and restore public confidence in Oyo State's security system.

The APC's statement emphasized the urgent need for a review of the state's security architecture to address identified gaps and improve the protection of lives and property.
