Makinde Visits Adelabu After Sister and Sons' Abduction

On Friday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde paid a solidarity visit to Adebayo Adelabu, a former Minister of Power, in Ibadan. This visit was prompted by the abduction of Adelabu's younger sister, Olaid Busayo Adegok, and her 12-year-old twin sons, John Paul and Peter Paul, which occurred on Wednesday during a routine school run.

The family noted that John Paul had recently relocated to Ibadan and was finalizing plans to join their husband in the United States. In response to the incident, the Oyo State Police Command has deployed a tactical team and resources to ensure the victims' safe release and to arrest the perpetrators.

A video of Makinde's visit circulated on social media, showcasing the moment he arrived at Adelabu's residence. The visit also highlighted Adelabu's aspirations for the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
