Oyo Police Intensify Rescue Efforts for Kidnapped Ex-Minister's Sister

The Oyo State Police Command is actively working to rescue Olaid Busayo Adegok John Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, who was kidnapped along with her 12-year-old twin son, Peter Paul, by armed men in Ibadan on Wednesday morning around 7:30 AM. The incident occurred as they were driving to school along the Busi Ring Road area.

Security operations have recovered the vehicle used in the abduction, and tactical units have been deployed across strategic locations to continue investigations. Adebayo Adelabu's family has confirmed the kidnapping and expressed their distress while remaining hopeful for a successful rescue.

The Oyo State chapter of the APC has called for urgent measures to address the rising cases of kidnapping and violent crime in the state, urging Governor Seyi Makinde to strengthen collaboration with security agencies. The situation has raised concerns among residents, who feel increasingly unsafe due to the growing wave of abductions.
