Oyo APC Urges Governor Makinde to Revamp Health Sector

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Governor Seyi Makinde to take urgent action to improve the health and education sectors in the state. This appeal comes in light of a viral video showing an unidentified man expressing frustration over the lack of doctors and medical personnel at Adeoyo State Hospital in Yemetu, Ibadan.

Olawal Sadar, the APC's public secretary, criticized the state government's handling of welfare issues, asserting that despite significant federal allocations, the Makinde administration has failed to deliver effective governance. Sadar highlighted the deplorable conditions of primary and secondary schools, including inadequate classrooms and pressure on teachers due to salary deductions.

He emphasized that the current state of the health sector, including the non-functioning laboratories and lack of essential medical equipment, reflects a systemic rot that needs immediate attention. The APC's statement underscores the urgent need for quality leadership to address these critical issues affecting the citizens of Oyo State.
