Oyo APC Criticizes Makinde's UN Probe Call on Abduction

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) criticized Governor Seyi Makinde for his call for a United Nations investigation into the circumstances surrounding the rescue of 44 abducted individuals in the Oriire Local Government Area. In a statement issued by Olawal Sadar, the party described Makinde's position as shameful and unbecoming of a leader, accusing him of ineptitude and political grandstanding.

The APC urged the governor to act more like a statesman and to refrain from politicizing serious issues. They emphasized that the circumstances surrounding the incident were grave enough to warrant independent scrutiny.
