Oyebamiji Pledges to Revamp Osun's Agriculture and Education

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 15 Osun State governorship election, made a commitment to prioritize agriculture, education, healthcare, and human capital development if elected. Speaking during an Arise News Town Hall program, Oyebamiji outlined his plans to improve the welfare of the populace, address hunger and poverty, enhance security, and invest in sectors that could expand the state's economic base.

He emphasized that agriculture would be his top priority due to its potential to drive economic activity and create jobs. Oyebamiji, a former Commissioner for Finance in Osun State and former Managing Director of the Osun State Investment Company, stated that his experience in banking and investment management would aid in attracting investment to the state.

He also promised to address the healthcare system's inadequacies and the shortage of teachers in education, noting a deficit of 28,000 teachers in Osun.
