Adegoke Welcomes APM Defectors to ADC in Oyo State

Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, welcomed hundreds of defectors from the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) during a thank-you visit to the Ogbomoso area. The defectors, primarily from Ogo Oluwa and Surulere Local Government Areas, expressed dissatisfaction with the APM's performance and pledged their allegiance to the ADC, promising to work towards the party's success in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Apostle Taiwo Olaleru and Alhaji Bashiru Ganiyu, leaders of the defectors, emphasized their belief in Adegoke's leadership and the ADC as a better platform. Adegoke assured the new members of equal opportunities within the ADC and encouraged their active participation.

Additionally, during a prior visit to Iseyin, Adegoke announced plans to establish a specialist hospital in the Oke Ogun zone to address healthcare needs and stimulate local development, alongside commitments to upgrade the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Iseyin.
