ADC Candidate Adegoke Launches Campaign Council in Oyo

On Monday, Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State, inaugurated a 25-member campaign council at his campaign office in Oke-Ado, Ibadan. Adetayo Kesa was appointed as the Director-General of the council.

During the inauguration, Adegoke emphasized that the upcoming 2027 election would focus on addressing the real issues faced by the people of Oyo State. He described the council as essential for promoting inclusive development, accountability, and grassroots empowerment.

Adegoke pledged that if elected governor, he would grant full autonomy to local government areas, asserting that empowering local governments is vital for grassroots development. His development agenda is built on four pillars: agriculture, electricity supply, youth employment, and investment attraction.

He aims to enhance agricultural production, establish a stable power sector through private sector involvement, and create more opportunities for young people. Other notable members of the campaign council include Oyetunji Oyetunde, Alhaja Kafilat Omolabake Olayiwola, Hon. Yemi Amodu, Mrs. Funmi Chima, Hon. Kazeem Elesude, and Gbade Oduola.
