Tinubu Sends Rescue Team, 1,000 Guards to Oyo State

In response to the kidnapping of students and a teacher from the Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dispatched a rescue team and approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State. This initiative aims to strengthen security and surveillance in vulnerable communities.

The announcement was made during a visit by a high-powered federal government delegation led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila on Sunday. The delegation included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu, Chief of Defence Staff Christoph Musa, and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Sunday Dare.

Gbajabiamila conveyed Tinubu's deep concern regarding the incident and reassured residents of the federal government's commitment to ensuring the safe return of the victims. The delegation also visited the family of the deceased teacher, Mari Oyedokun, to express condolences and support.
