Oyo State Cracks Down on Unauthorized Estate Developers

The Oyo State government, through its task force led by Hon. Akin Funmilayo, has initiated enforcement actions against unauthorized private estate developers in the state.

The move comes as a response to the increasing number of private estate developments being undertaken without proper approvals, raising concerns about orderly urban growth and environmental safety. The government aims to regulate these activities to prevent crises related to land grabbing and ensure public interest is protected.

Developers are urged to regularize their titles and plans within three days to avoid enforcement measures under the town and country planning laws.
