Oyo State Commits to Support Federal Schools' Security

The Oyo State Ministry of Education, represented by Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, has expressed readiness to collaborate with the federal government to strengthen educational standards and enhance student security across public schools in the state.

This announcement was made during a courtesy visit by CSP Ogunlad Fisayo, the manager of the Command Police Secondary School in Igboora, to the Ministry of Education. Olayiwola commended the police for their visit, highlighting the importance of maintaining a central coordination body for educational development in Oyo State.

Although the federal government owns the schools, the collaboration with state institutions is deemed essential for ensuring academic success and the welfare of students. CSP Ogunlad Fisayo noted the visit aimed to familiarize herself with the commission and seek greater recognition for public schools, particularly as the Command Police Secondary School in Igboora has the second-largest student population in the southwest, with 750 students primarily from civilian police families.
