Oyo FA Distributes CAF Balls to Schools for Sports Growth

On April 1, 2026, the Oyo State Football Association, led by Chairman Oba Jame Odeniran, distributed CAF balls to secondary schools across three senatorial zones in Oyo State. This initiative, part of the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) African School Program, aims to promote grassroots football and encourage student participation in sports.

Schools such as Ilora Grammar School, Bioku Grammar School, and Iseyin Grammar School were among the beneficiaries. Odeniran emphasized the importance of discovering hidden talents among students and encouraged them to focus on discipline and academics alongside sports.

The gesture received appreciation from school principals and students, who recognized the significance of the support in bringing them closer to the global football space. The Oyo State Football Association aims to foster future stars through this program, which will continue with further distributions in the Ibadan zone.
