Oyo Police Arrest 10 Armed Robbers, Recover N100M Stolen Goods

The Oyo State Police Command successfully arrested 10 suspected armed robbers, including three females, in a significant operation. The arrests took place at a hideout located within the Genesi Hotel area in Challenge, Ibadan.

According to DSP Olayinka Ayanlad, the police acted on credible intelligence and conducted surveillance over the past week, leading to the apprehension of this notorious armed robbery syndicate known for hijacking and diverting valuable goods at gunpoint across state lines. During the operation, the police recovered a substantial cache of stolen items, including 40 units of air conditioners, 10 washing machines, an electric motorcycle, assorted cream, seven cutting machines, fifteen packs of LED lights, 25 packs of furniture gum, numerous trailer spare parts, women's hair relaxers, and chin chin, with a total estimated value of N100 million.
