Police Arrest Three Armed Robbery Suspects in Ibadan

On April 6, 2026, the Oyo State Police Command arrested three suspected armed robbers in the Bodija area of Ibadan. The suspects, identified as Godwin Cletu (26), Adedokun Isah (17), and Rafiu Usman (19), were stopped during a routine check while riding a Bajaj motorcycle with registration number BDJ 386 QH.

The operation took place around 12:30 hours along Awolowo Road, Bodija, where the police conducted a stop-and-search duty. Upon inspection, the officers discovered a toy pistol concealed in a black bag along with six different mobile phones, which heightened their suspicion.

Following thorough interrogation, the suspects confessed to engaging in robbery activities targeting unsuspecting members of the public. They were subsequently taken into custody for further investigation to determine the full extent of their criminal operations and identify possible accomplices within their network.
