Oyo Police Arrest 10 Robbery Suspects, Recover N100m Goods

On Sunday, the Oyo State Police Command arrested ten suspects involved in armed robbery within the Genesi Hotel area of Challenge, Ibadan. The operation, which recovered stolen items valued at N100 million, was based on credible intelligence that led to the surveillance and successful apprehension of the notorious robbery syndicate.

The arrested individuals include Mukaila Omorayo (48), Adekanbi Adesola (39), Ahm Oderinlo (38), Samuel Omoseyin (53), Ramon Sahe (52), Monilola Ajayi (58), Akanbi Bisi (51), Wasilat Abdullahi (48), Bolaji Tanimola (51), and Adeola Oyesina (51). The recovered items include 40 air conditioning units, ten washing machines, an electric motorcycle, and various other goods.

The suspects have confessed to their involvement in various crimes, and the police are continuing investigations to apprehend other members of the syndicate. The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Abimbola, commended the operation and emphasized the importance of public cooperation in crime prevention.
