CAN Demands Action Following Oyo School Abduction

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), represented by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, issued a statement condemning the security failure that allowed armed criminals to abduct pupils and teachers in Oyo State. The attack, described as a direct assault on the nation's conscience, occurred in broad daylight and has raised serious concerns about the safety of children in schools.

CAN expressed outrage over the increasing incidents of violence and kidnapping, emphasizing that Nigerian children should not fear attending school. The organization criticized the government's lack of decisive action against kidnapping networks and called for the immediate coordination of security forces to rescue the abducted victims.
