Makinde Appoints Committee for Oyo State's 50th Anniversary Celebration

Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed a committee, including Hon Saheed Akinade Fijabi, to plan Oyo State's 50th-anniversary celebrations. The committee, led by Fijabi and Alhaja Ololade Agboola, comprises various prominent individuals to coordinate the milestone event.

The anniversary marks 50 years since Oyo State's establishment in 1976, following the breakup of the old Western State. The committee, with members from diverse backgrounds, is tasked with creating a comprehensive roadmap for the golden jubilee celebration, expected to commence work immediately to ensure a fitting tribute to the state's history and progress.
