Makinde Inaugurates Committee for Oyo State's 50th Anniversary

Governor Makinde has inaugurated an 11-member committee for Oyo State's upcoming 50th-anniversary celebration. The committee, led by a former House of Representatives member, will oversee the preparations for the state's golden jubilee event.

Oyo State was created on February 3, 1976, during a nationwide restructuring exercise. The state's boundaries have evolved over the years, including the separation from Osun State in 1991.
