Pakistan Monsoon Rains Kill 300: Devastation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Pakistan's northwestern region faces unprecedented devastation as over 300 people are killed in the worst monsoon rains in a decade. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority reports that torrential monsoon rains claimed lives within 48 hours, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region bearing the brunt of the disaster.

The cloudburst triggered flash floods that swept away entire villages and caused landslides burying homes under tons of debris. The death toll continues to rise, with rescue teams working tirelessly to recover bodies.

The catastrophe has also affected neighboring countries like India and Nepal. The incident in Buner district, north of Islamabad, has become the epicenter of the disaster, with 184 confirmed fatalities.

The rescue efforts are ongoing amidst the widespread destruction.
