Palestinian Children to Join UEFA Super Cup Medal Ceremony in Udine

Palestinian children will participate in the UEFA Super Cup medal ceremony in Udine, Italy. Two Palestinian kids, Tala and Mohamed, will be present at the ceremony where UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin will award medals to players.

Tala, a fragile child from Gaza, was moved to Milan for medical treatment after being orphaned in an airstrike. Mohamed, who was severely injured in the same incident, was also moved to Milan for treatment.

This gesture comes after Liverpool's Mohamed Salah criticized UEFA for not acknowledging the death of Palestinian football legend Suleiman, who passed away in Gaza. During the opening ceremony, nine refugee children from various countries held a banner with the words "STOP KILLING CHILDREN, STOP KILLING CIVILIANS." This event is part of the Inter Campus UEFA Foundation education project, showcasing UEFA's commitment to supporting social integration and addressing humanitarian crises.
