NNPC Foundation and Pan-Atlantic University Host Symposium

Pan-Atlantic University, in partnership with the NNPC Foundation, is set to host the 2nd NNPC Foundation Symposium on Energy and Environment, scheduled for June 10-11. This symposium is part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the NNPC Foundation and aims to foster sustainable environmental practices among stakeholders across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

According to Prof. Nelson Okori, Director of the Centre for Media and Communication Research at Pan-Atlantic University, the event will provide a platform for discussions on the role of energy in national development and the importance of environmental communication in mitigating climate change and health issues globally.

Scholars agree that environmental communication is essential for promoting adaptation and conserving biodiversity in modern societies. The symposium will also serve as a networking opportunity for experts committed to advancing environmental sustainability goals in Nigeria and contributing to broader global sustainable development efforts.
