Bandits Kill 4, Kidnap 9 in Niger State Attack - Residents Flee Amid Insecurity

Bandits have attacked communities in Niger State, resulting in the death of four residents, injuries to eleven, and the kidnapping of nine individuals. Among those abducted is Barrister Isyaku Muhammad Danjuma.

The bandits, heavily armed and believed to have insider information, raided homes, stole cattle, and abducted people in Ibeto town. The assault has caused fear among residents, leading many farmers to flee their homes.

The Niger State Police Command has been unreachable for comments. The attacks highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in the region, with banditry and cattle rustling posing significant threats to the safety and livelihoods of residents.
