Gombe APC Affirms Ali Pantami's Membership Status

The Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated that Professor Ali Pantami, a former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, remains a member of the party. This assertion was made during a press conference by Jamilu Gwamna and Mose Kyari, the APC's executive committee spokesperson.

They clarified that neither they nor the 25 to 27 members of the ward executive committee received or deliberated on any resignation letter allegedly submitted by Pantami. Kyari described the claims of Pantami's resignation as a "fabric orchestrated without the knowledge or approval" of the ward executive committee.

The alleged resignation letter was reportedly received on May 23, 2026, despite being dated May 19. The APC maintains that Pantami will remain a member until proper procedures are followed to verify any resignation.

Furthermore, the party dismissed claims made during a television interview that Pantami would defect to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the governorship race, asserting that President Bola Tinubu supports the unity of the APC.
