RCCG Declares Pastor Adeboye Does Not Command Tinubu

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) issued a statement clarifying that Pastor Enoch Adeboye does not command President Bola Tinubu, describing such demands as unrealistic. The church emphasized that it is not a political party and does not engage in political matters, especially regarding Nigeria's current economic and security challenges.

The statement was released amid growing public demands for Pastor Adeboye to direct the President and First Lady in national affairs. Additionally, the RCCG refuted online claims that Adeboye led protests against former President Goodluck Jonathan, stating that the photographs used were from a peaceful nationwide walk organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The church reiterated that Adeboye remains silent on national issues, recalling his public counsel during the November 2025 Holy Ghost Service, where he warned of worsening security situations and advised security chiefs to eliminate terrorism and its sponsors.
