Pat Utomi Denies ADC's Endorsement of Amaechi's Bid

Pat Utomi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed claims regarding the party's endorsement of Rotimi Amaechi's presidential bid for the 2027 elections. He stated that the ADC has not officially decided to support Amaechi, who is a former governor of Rivers State.

The clarification came after reports suggested that Amaechi had visited the ADC's leadership in the South South region, where he expressed his intent to run for president on the ADC platform. Utomi highlighted that while Amaechi has declared his interest in the presidential race, the ADC faces competition from other notable aspirants, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, who have already made their intentions public.

The ADC's leadership has yet to make a formal decision regarding any endorsements for the upcoming elections.
