The chairman for the governorship aspirants' screening committee is former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi, with George Ariolu as secretary. The NWC has also extended the deadline for purchasing nomination forms to May 15, with the final date for returning completed forms set for May 18.

Screening for state governorship aspirants will occur in Abuja.
