PDP's Dan Ulasi Warns Against Wike's Leadership Role

Dan Ulasi, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has warned that the party lacks the capability to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections as long as Nyesom Wike remains its national leader. Ulasi stated that Wike's position contradicts the party's ability to support Tinubu, which he finds unacceptable.

He expressed his dissatisfaction during an interview on Aris TV, indicating that Wike's simultaneous role as national leader and support for Tinubu is contradictory. Ulasi emphasized that he would consider leaving the PDP if satisfactory answers are not provided at the next party meeting.

He also mentioned that Peter Obi visited his residence four times this year, discussing Obi's vision for the country, although he did not announce any formal political alignment. Ulasi's remarks reflect a growing concern within the PDP regarding leadership and electoral strategy as the 2027 elections approach.
