PDP Court Ruling Strengthens Party Unity and Democracy

The spokesperson for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Dan Osa Ogbegi, announced that a recent court ruling validating the party's convention held in Ibadan is a major win for democracy and internal party unity. The judgment confirms the legitimacy of the PDP's leadership structure, which Ogbegi emphasized remains intact and unchallenged.

He noted that the ruling eliminates uncertainties and strengthens democratic governance within the opposition party. The statement praised loyal members, particularly in Edo State, for maintaining discipline and commitment to party principles despite political pressures.

The PDP also criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for alleged external interference in its affairs and reiterated its independence as a political institution. Furthermore, the party addressed internal disputes and actions taken against former members who shifted allegiance to the APC, describing these measures as necessary to preserve discipline and protect the integrity of the organization.
