Makinde's Camp Sets Demands for Wike Faction Reconciliation

The ongoing crisis within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has seen Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde's camp, led by Kabiru Turaki, hinting at specific demands related to reconciliation with the faction of Nyesom Wike. This reconciliation is deemed crucial as the party prepares for the next general elections, particularly in light of the challenges they face.

Ememobong, a spokesperson for Makinde's camp, expressed optimism about finding common ground in negotiations with Wike's faction. However, he noted that any endorsement of Bola Tinubu, the current president, by Turaki's camp would be a condition for reconciliation.

Ememobong emphasized that the idea of reconciliation might seem delusional if it does not consider the political landscape and the need for viable candidates for the 2027 elections.
