PDP crisis: Speak directly – Wike’s aide replies Makinde over ‘gutter’ comment

Aide to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Olayinka, responded to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State's comments on the PDP crisis, urging Makinde to address the issue directly. Makinde had mentioned a "gutter level" comment at a Southwest zoning consultative summit in Lagos, emphasizing the need for the PDP to focus on more important matters.

Olayinka challenged Makinde to be brave and confront the FCT Minister directly on the matter, rather than resorting to indirect remarks. Despite tensions within the party, the outcome of the Southern Leaders zoning consultative summit was rejected by some PDP members loyal to Wike.

The PDP is set to discuss the zoning issue at its National Executive Council meeting on Monday, where a decision on the zoning formula for key positions is expected to be made.
