“When People Go Into The Gutters, I Don’t Go With Them” – Seyi Makinde Speaks After PDP Meeting

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde spoke after a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting, emphasizing his readiness to lead despite disagreements within the party. Makinde asserted that he does not engage in negative tactics, stating, "When people go into the gutters, I don’t go with them." The meeting, held in Lagos, discussed the zoning of the 2027 presidential ticket to the south, although Makinde clarified that the decision is not final.

He highlighted the importance of rebuilding the party and regaining the trust of Nigerians. Notable attendees included Adolphus Wabara, Douye Diri, and Bode George.
