PDP Crisis: Turaki and Wike Factions Clash Over Wadata Plaza Takeover

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is embroiled in a crisis as factions led by Turaki and Wike are at odds over the control of Wadata Plaza. The conflict escalated when rival factions clashed violently outside the party headquarters, leading to a police barricade.

Samuel Anyanwu, the caretaker secretary, announced plans to take over the INEC office on Monday. Turaki's faction, through Comrad Ini Ememobong, notified their intent to expel members occupying the secretariat, citing a court order.

However, Wike's faction, backed by Justice Joyc Abdulmalik, emphasized that expulsion cannot occur until a court judgment is delivered. Turaki's leadership warned against any forced eviction, stressing the need to respect legal processes.

The situation remains tense as both factions stand firm on their positions.
