PDP Resignation: Kebbi Ex-Secretary Joins APC Plans

Abubakar Bawa Kalgo, the former secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, publicly declared his resignation from the party on Monday in Birnin Kebbi. Kalgo criticized the PDP for compromising its integrity and no longer functioning as a credible opposition force.

He revealed that the decision to leave was made after a joint resolution by the state executive committee, which unanimously agreed to exit the party due to its perceived decline. Kalgo expressed disappointment over the party's endorsement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president, which he viewed as a betrayal of the party's principles.

He noted that discussions among outgoing members regarding their next political move are ongoing, hinting at a potential shift to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to form a stronger opposition against the APC-led administration. Kalgo emphasized the need for a credible opposition to maintain democracy in Nigeria.
