PDP's Anosike Confident of Abia Governorship Win in 2027

Dr. Kelechi Anosike, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, announced the party's renewed energy and commitment to reclaiming the state in the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the PDP secretariat in Umuahia, Anosike attributed the party's 2023 electoral defeat to a lack of internal cohesion but emphasized that the PDP has reactivated its machinery across all 17 local government areas. He outlined a welfare-focused administration, promising a minimum wage increase for civil servants and plans to establish the Abia Labour Global Opportunities Agency (ALGOA) to train youth for remote jobs.

Anosike also committed to improving healthcare coverage, ensuring justice delivery, and reviving local sports, particularly the Enyimba FC. He stated that the PDP's membership strength is robust, with plans to enhance structures at the ward and polling unit levels to ensure electoral success.
