PDP Lawmaker and APC Governor Unite for Gombe Hospital

On Tuesday, Ali Isah, a lawmaker representing the Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), visited Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State from the All Progressives Congress (APC). During this meeting, they pledged ₦1 billion from the constituency intervention allocation to accelerate the establishment of a Federal Orthopaedic Hospital in Gombe State.

This collaboration marks a rare instance of bipartisan cooperation aimed at enhancing healthcare services. Although the current federal budget does not fully accommodate the hospital project, the lawmakers have already transmitted an appropriation proposal to the National Assembly.

They emphasized the urgency of the project, expressing that it should not be delayed until the 2027 budget. Isah stated that immediate action is necessary to avoid delays in delivering critical healthcare services to the people.
