PDP, SDP Candidates Missing from Final List for Ekiti Governorship Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of candidates for the Ekiti State Governorship election, with notable omissions of candidates from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP). The list features candidates from various parties like the African Action Congress (AAC), Action Democratic Party (ADP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The absence of PDP's Wole Oluyede and SDP's David Bankole is due to a court order nullifying Oluyede's primary election win. This development comes amidst a leadership crisis within the PDP, with factions supporting different governors.

INEC also rejected recognizing the PDP's National Working Committee pending the resolution of internal disputes.
