PDP not dead – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not dead, despite internal challenges. Speaking at a PDP Southwest zoning consultative summit in Lagos, Makinde emphasized that the party remains a formidable force and is working hard to reclaim power.

He warned against stooping low in political tactics, stating that he reserves the right to disagree with anyone but will not engage in personal attacks. Makinde highlighted the need for a vibrant and united PDP to regain the confidence of Nigerians, especially as the party came second in 12 states during the last elections.

He urged the party to focus on building a strong foundation before discussing presidential candidates or other matters, to avoid failure in their efforts.
