PDP Criticizes Tinubu Over Maiduguri Bombings

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) condemned the recent bombings in Maiduguri, Borno State, which left at least 23 people dead and over 100 injured. In a statement signed by Ini Ememobong, the PDP described the attacks as clear evidence of the failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration under President Bola Tinubu to tackle the country's growing insecurity.

The party highlighted that the bombings are part of a long list of security challenges that have worsened under the APC government, despite promises made during the 2015 elections to end insecurity. The PDP expressed condolences to the victims' families and urged the government to move beyond rhetoric, advocating for a comprehensive approach that includes engaging community leaders to combat insecurity.

The bombings reportedly occurred around 7:02 PM, with suspected Boko Haram members launching coordinated attacks in different parts of Borno State, further exacerbating the already critical security situation in the northeastern region of Nigeria.
