PDP Sues Governor Oborevwori and INEC Over Defection to APC

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has taken legal action against Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over Oborevwori's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Filed by PDP member Alex Akporut, the suit challenges the constitutionality of Oborevwori's move, questioning the transfer of electoral mandate and potential breach of democratic principles.

The lawsuit seeks to determine key constitutional issues and prevent Oborevwori from exercising his rights in conflict with his electoral mandate. The case is set to be heard in the Federal High Court in Abuja.
