PDP Zoning: “Be Cautious of Atiku, ADC,” Peter Obi Warned Ahead of 2027

Political science professor Jideofor Adibe has warned Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi to be cautious of Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections. Adibe advised Obi to navigate the opposition coalition carefully, especially after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zoned the southern region.

Atiku, a northerner, is reportedly eyeing the presidency in 2027, which could pose a threat to southerners like Obi. Additionally, Rotimi Amaechi, a member of ADC, is also running for president in 2027.

Adibe emphasized the need for Obi to be vigilant and make strategic decisions to avoid potential losses. Meanwhile, the New Democratic Frontiers (NDF) spokesperson, Dare Glintstone Akinniyi, sent a crucial message to ADC regarding the 2027 presidential ticket, urging the party to focus on regional leadership and intensify efforts.
