PENGASSAN Orders Halt of Gas Supply to Dangote Refinery Amid Union Dispute

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has directed its members to halt gas and crude oil supply to the Dangote Refinery. This order came after the refinery allegedly dismissed workers attempting to unionize.

PENGASSAN accused the refinery's management of victimizing workers seeking to unionize and spreading misinformation. The directive, issued on September 26, instructed major oil and gas companies to stop deliveries to the refinery.

Dangote Group is yet to respond formally to the situation, which has escalated tensions between the union and the refinery. PENGASSAN's move aims to defend its members' rights and address grievances related to worker unionization.
