PENGASSAN Suspends Strike After Dangote Refinery Agrees to Redeploy Sacked Workers

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has suspended its strike following negotiations with Dangote Refinery management. The union expressed concerns over the company's decision to sack 800 workers, alleging violations of labor laws and agreements.

PENGASSAN's President, Festus Osifo, announced the strike suspension after a marathon meeting with the refinery's management. The union and Dangote Group reached an agreement to redeploy the sacked workers to other subsidiaries within the company, resolving the immediate labor dispute.
