Edochie stated, "I believe that one wife is okay for any man," but humorously conceded that if polygamy works for someone, they could take multiple wives.

He recounted a story about his deceased uncle, who justified marrying three wives by claiming that it prevented any one wife from conspiring against him, as one would always report on the others. However, the uncle died shortly after marrying the third wife.
