Kwankwaso Explains Exit from ADC, Dismisses Conflict with Atiku

Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, stated that he and Peter Obi did not depart from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) because of any political hostility with Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president. During a prime-time television program, he explained that their exit was due to unresolved internal issues that hindered the ADC's capacity to field candidates for future elections.

Kwankwaso emphasized that the political landscape should not be viewed as a personal battle and recalled previous presidential primary contests alongside Atiku Abubakar without animosity. He noted that the ADC faced difficulties that required flexible strategies and decisions to make necessary political accords, indicating a need for cooperation rather than conflict among opposition figures.
