Obi and Kwankwaso Rumored to Exit ADC Amid Tensions

Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are facing speculation regarding their potential departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid their noticeable absence from key party meetings and events. This speculation follows their failure to issue statements after an opposition summit held in Ibadan on April 25, 2023, and the Supreme Court judgment delivered on April 30, 2023, which affirmed David Mark as the recognized leader of the ADC.

The rumors have intensified as both former governors are reportedly uneasy about competing in the party's primaries, especially with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar being strongly positioned for the ADC presidential ticket.
