ADC Explains Absence at Makinde's Campaign Office Launch

Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, addressed the party's absence from the inauguration of the presidential campaign office of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Abuja. He clarified that the event was primarily an affair of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and did not necessitate ADC's presence.

Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, attended the inauguration, where he expressed his support for Makinde, stating he is prepared to collaborate with any candidate who wins a free and fair election to help Nigeria. Okonkwo criticized other political parties that attended, suggesting they are known for attending various events regardless of their relevance, and described the gathering as an APM affair that should be attributed solely to them.
