ADC Spokesman Claims Obi, Kwankwaso's Exit Was Planned

Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that the exits of Peter Obi and Kwankwaso were pre-planned and not abrupt. In an interview, he described the ADC as having a clear structure and accused politicians of using the party for personal ambitions.

He referenced Obi's previous remarks about fighting for democracy within the party, suggesting that Obi had significant privileges, including the opportunity to be nominated for the position of national organizing secretary. Abdullahi dismissed claims that legal battles forced Obi's exit, stating that the decision was premeditated.

He compared the situation to someone giving reasons for leaving a relationship. Abdullahi noted that Obi had consistently attended coalition meetings and expressed a desire for a joint ticket.

He raised questions about whether the efforts to divide the opposition were intended to benefit incumbents. The recent developments indicate that both Obi and Kwankwaso had made formal decisions to leave the ADC.
