Okonkwo Accuses Peter Obi of Bribery with Evidence

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, publicly released WhatsApp chats and evidence to support his allegations of bribery against Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress. The allegations state that Obi was involved in collecting bribes of N10 million and N20 million from house representatives and senatorial aspirants during the party's primary elections.

Okonkwo disclosed these allegations on Monday, revealing receipts that purportedly back his claims. He posted the WhatsApp chats on Wednesday morning, which allegedly show Obunik Ohaegbu, a representative, revealing Obi's involvement in the bribery scheme.

When confronted about the payments, it was made clear that the amounts were demanded from party authorities, implicating Peter Obi as a leader within the party's caucus.
