Okonkwo Accuses Obi of Bribery, Demands N5 Billion

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress and former actor, has publicly accused Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, of bribery. Okonkwo claims that Obi's team collected N10 million from House of Representatives aspirants and N20 million from senatorial aspirants.

He provided WhatsApp chat excerpts with Obunik Ohaegbu, which he claims support his allegations regarding Obi's involvement in the party's primary process. Okonkwo has filed a legal demand for N5 billion in damages and a public apology from Obi, threatening further legal action if his demands are not met.

He criticized the integrity of the primary process, stating that there was no consensus or agreement among aspirants. Okonkwo's lawyer, Alex Ejesiem, has also been involved in the legal proceedings, and Okonkwo has dismissed Obi's legal team's demands for a formal review of his allegations.
