NDC Aspirants Warn Peter Obi of 2027 Election Risks

During a press conference held in Abuja, aspirants from the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) issued a strong warning that Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, will be voted out in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The event was part of a collaborative effort with the Coalition to Protect Democracy (COPDEM) to promote accountability in governance.

Nnamdi Iroegbu, an NDC aspirant for the Aboh Mbaise Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency seat in Imo State, stated that Nigerians demand accountability from all leaders, including Obi, who he claimed has failed to deliver on his mandate. Iroegbu emphasized that the coalition aims to create an electoral system that remains accountable to the people.

Kingsley Ndube, another NDC aspirant contesting for the Anaocha Njikoka Dunukofia Federal Constituency seat, reiterated the need for political reform and oversight to protect public interests. The NDC is focused on promoting equity, transparency, and better governance across Nigeria, particularly addressing the frustrations of young people with the current political structure.
